MEET TORI COLLIER
Tori Collier is a mother of three, a special education advocate, and a communications professional who has lived in Norman for 26 years. She has over 10 ten years' experience serving state government agencies including the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, and the Oklahoma State Department of Health and is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute. Tori also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Communications from Webster University which she earned in 1997 and a Master of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Oklahoma which she earned in 2008.

Being the mother of a son with special needs as well as a former employee of the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Tori is a passionate public servant and longtime mental health and disability advocate. During her 6-year tenure at the ODMHSAS, she learned about best practices and statistics relating to mental health disparities. She developed a great empathy and concern for the emotional well-being of Oklahoma families, which deepened her passion for wellness advocacy. Throughout her years in Norman, she has served on many boards, advocacy groups, and task forces that advocate for the wellbeing of vulnerable populations including:

Currently, Tori works as a Community Consultant for Evolution Foundation, a nonprofit working with local coalitions in Oklahoma to develop alliances between coordinated behavioral health-oriented networks to meet the needs of children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance, substance abuse disorders and co-occurring issues in partnership with ODMHSAS's Systems of Care.
